I don't have a dedicated Macro lens at the moment, but do have a 28-80 zoom with a Macro setting/feature that seems to be doing an OK job.

Warped-Photography > I saw a very similar idea being used in portrait pics (Keetley's 1000 faces) and thought I could make it work as a Macro theme.
This is a piece of flyscreen strung up about 30 cm in front of a vase containing a red/orange rose and a pink rose. I've then used as shallow a d.o.f as I could to focus just on the screen (and the drops I had sprayed onto it).
I was lucky enough to win the Macro theme at my local photography clubs November 2007 meet with this shot.

Warped-Photography > I've no idea what this flower/plant is called, I saw it in a botanical garden in Malmo - Sweden. It's about the size of a golf ball.
Shallow dof was deliberate to try and focus attention onto the yellow tips and create a bit more of an interesting image.

An old (about 7 years old) Sigma 28-80 Zoom lens was used on a K100D Pentax DSLR.
Warped-Photography > I picked these roses to use as the background in the first photo (flyscreen droplets). Just as I was setting this up this tiny snail came out to see what was going on. The snail was only about 2 cm long when fully stretched out and moving and the shell only 7 or 8 mm across.

Warped-Photography > One of the first close-up shots taken while trying out my new toy (Pentax K100D DSLR). Both Gerbera flowers were getting on in age and the colour shown is very true to life for these flowers.
